The Battle of Salamis 480 BC was a critical naval battle fought between an alliance of Greek city-states and the Persian Empire under King Xerxes. By all accounts the Greeks were heavily outnumbered but used a narrow straight to eliminate the numerical advantage. The historical records do NOT clearly detail how the forces were arranged. Version #2 uses one theory on how the forces could have been arranged.
