A Pathfinder one shot set in the world of Fuertanzen. In the realm of the Celestial Emperor of Nine Dragons, in the province of Fu Shan, a great disturbance has began that troubles the Church of the Twelve and even the Emperor himself. For in the sleepy fishing village of Tyre a new prophet has arisen, one who claims that there are no gods. Heretics and madmen are common enough, and generally dealt with by the local authorities. What makes this one special are the claims that all magic, divine and arcane, cease to function in this prophet’s presence, and his fame and following grow by leaps and bounds with each passing day. The local magistrate fears to confront the crowds following in the wake of this prophet’s ‘miracles’, but a contract has been put out on his life. The players have been hired by a mysterious 3rd party who wishes this prophet investigated before he is put to death. Is he just another fraud with outrageous claims made to dupe the unwary? Or is there some greater working behind his bizarre assertion that the power of the gods is all a cosmic lie? Collecting the bounty on the prophet’s life will be no easy matter, but neither will satisfying the curiosity of your mysterious patron, who has asked for you to somehow arrange a personal meeting with this new enigma. How you approach this riddle is entirely up to you and your comrades. Pregen characters of level 5 will be provided for the game, as well as a map of the village of Tyre and the surrounding area. There will be 8 characters to choose from, including a human inquisitor, a dwarven monk (zen archer), a duegar geokineticist, a cleric of the Dragon, a generalist wizard, and a few classes suitable for beginners should any care to play.
