The Myrewood has long been a source of timber for the town of Prondadol and the surrounding environs. Indeed, the lumbering guild that cuts the trees has run a most successful operation for many years now. But of late, something has changed in the woods. Mists rise at night and strange, shadowy creatures skull about in the thickets. Worse still, more than a few woodcutters have gone missing. Then, just a few days ago, a small group of soldiers seeking to find the lost loggers also disappeared.
