Dungeon Crawl Workshop
This 4-hour workshop is divided into two parts, prep and practice. We’ll use the idea of the dungeon as a framework to think “situation” (what’s going on right now) and rough out a location-based scenario together. We’ll use the scenario we craft and a set of rough-and-ready game mechanics to practice being GMs, with each workshop participant rotating in and out of the GM’s “hot seat” to share how they’d handle running a game and to practice specific GM skills. We will draw upon indie games and the OSR as well as the best practices offered by trad gaming experts for insights into the art of the GM.
