It is June 1995. Michael Jordan has returned to the NBA. OJ has been acquitted of murder in a major televised trial. Braveheart and Jumanji crash the box office, and schools across the country close their proms with Total Eclipse of the Heart. And, unbeknownst to muggles, a certain school for male magic and female magic has just installed a new headmistress while the ministry of magic struggles to keep up with a swiftly developing situation. Paranatural events are starting to slip through the cracks and people are starting to notice. You are one such person, and the increasingly weird events are calling you to action.

Monster of the Week is an easy to learn, narrative focused Roleplaying Game with a strong improvisation element. We will begin by creating characters and crafting their interrelationships, and then conduct a full investigation into the mystery gripping the small town of Thief River Falls. I am running this game three times, and each standalone mystery will feature a different monster and different hunters. Rules will be taught at the table, so all you need is a pencil and an imagination. Content will include violence and cussing, and some bystanders or animals may be harmed over the course of the investigation. We will include safety tools (lines and veils) to identify any content that the table is not comfortable with.
