Set in Ross Watson’s gothic dark fantasy world of monsters seeking redemption while witches rule the realms. The heroes come upon a small village, which seems to be in the midst of serious conflict between human refugees who have settled there and the recently returned original inhaibtants who were changed into Accursed during the Bane War. The Witchmarked heroes must decide which party is in the right, and try to resolve their conflict, lest blood be shed between those who still oppose the Witches. And is this land truly safe from the Witches?
