Founded in 2021, the ‘Fur’mata Duo brings a genre-hopping new take to the sometimes “overly-formal” world of the concert piano. Members Emily and Naoko are classically trained and love the repertoire, but expand upon it, venturing into the musical vistas of anime, video games, Disney, world music, and much more. With roots in the concert hall, the pair have also gone digital, taking their music anywhere and everywhere through innovative and interactive livestream virtual events. Both members teach and perform extensively- it is their joy to share their passion for music with everyone they meet!
