Accessibility Is Not A Bolt-On – Universal Design for Creators
The term Universal Design was coined by an architect in 1985. The core concept is to design from the ground up to remove barriers, rather than doing it as a checklist at the end. Recently, this concept has gone beyond physical limitations and now includes designing for neurodiversity. We’ll discuss the core philosophy of Universal Design, look at a few case studies, review some basic rules, and maybe even have some time for some role-play. Handouts with resources will be provided.
